Before first-time use: DEVICE MUST BE FULLY CHARGED. IT WILL NOT ACTIVATE UNTIL IT IS CHARGED.

  1. PerioRx is shipped in “shipping mode” to save battery life during transport.

  2. To charge the device, plug the USB-C cable into the back of the device.

  3. When fully charged, unplug the PerioRx device and follow the General Instructions.

  4. Note: The recommended charging time is once per week.

How to use PerioRx?

Remove the PerioRx device from the case.

  1. Rinse the mouthpiece.

  2. Gently bite down on the mouthpiece.

  3. Press the “On” button to begin the session. (There is an automatic shut-off feature after 5 minutes of use.)

  4. Rinse and dry the mouthpiece after use.

How often to use PerioRx?

Use the PerioRx device as indicated by your physician.

Charging and Cleaning

Charging

  1. Charge by connecting the charging cable directly to the back of the device and to a USB power source.

  2. PerioRx’s LED lights will flash once as charging begins. The number of LEDs illuminated will correspond with the percentage the device is charged. When charging is complete, the LEDs will automatically turn off. The recommended charging time is once per week.

  3. A rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery pack internally powers the device. The device is inoperable while charging is occurring.

Storage

  1. Proper care should be taken to ensure that the PerioRx device is not damaged. The device should be stored at room temperature.

  2. Storage/Operating Temperature: -20°C to 45°C Storage/Operating Humidity: 15 to 90% Storage/Operating Atmospheric Conditions: 700 kPa to 1060 kPa

  3. The device is water-resistant, NOT waterproof:

    • DO NOT submerge in water

    • DO NOT use in the shower

    • Keep USB port clean and dry


    • Wipe dry before charging after cleaning


Mouthpiece Care

Cleaning

The mouthpiece should be rinsed with water after each use. For a deeper cleaning, brush the mouthpiece with a toothbrush during rinsing.

Mouthpiece Replacement

  1. The mouthpiece can be detached from the actuator for cleaning and replacement.
    (A) Turn the mouthpiece one-quarter counterclockwise and gently pull to detach.
    (B) To re-attach, place the mouthpiece on the actuator and turn one-quarter clockwise.


  • Do not use PerioRx if you have conditions such as vertigo to avoid symptoms such as headache, dizziness, and aching facial pain.

  • Do not use PerioRx if you are pregnant.

Contraindications


Factory Reset

In the event your PerioRx device becomes non-responsive, you may perform a factory reset by pressing and holding the “On” button for 10 seconds. The device will automatically reset.

  • It is important to read the PerioRx “Instructions for Use” before operating the device to ensure proper use, maintenance, and care.

  • PerioRx is intended to be re-used.

  • Before use, inspect the PerioRx device and packaging to verify that no damage has occurred due to shipping and handling. Do not use damaged products.

  • Always recharge PerioRx according to the “Instructions for Use” before use. Refer to the CHARGING section for more information.

  • Never use any other alternative power sources or instruments in conjunction with PerioRx.

  • Use PerioRx only as instructed.

  • PerioRx is water resistant, not waterproof.

  • DO NOT submerge in water.

Warnings

  • Discontinue usage if you experience headache, dizziness, discomfort, or pain.

  • Do not make any modifications to the upLift 5 device. Any modification may impair the functionality of the device and void the warranty.


Disposal

Used electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) should not be mixed with general household waste. For proper treatment, recovery, and recycling, please take this product(s) to designated collection points where it will be accepted free of charge. Disposing this product correctly will help save valuable resources and prevent any potential negative effects on human health and the environment, which could otherwise arise from inappropriate waste handling. Please contact your local authority for further details of your nearest designated collection point/household hazardous waste collection point. Penalties may be applicable for incorrect disposal of this waste, in accordance with your national legislation.

  • To comply with FCC/RF Exposure requirements, this device must be installed to provide at least 20 cm separation from the human body during charging.


Replacement

If your PerioRx device and/or any of its components no longer work properly or require repair during the warranty period, contact us at Perio-Rx.com. Do not attempt to service or perform maintenance on the device. No modification of the device is allowed.


Service Life

The recommended service life of Actuator is two years from the date of manufacture.


Limited Warranty

This policy is applicable to domestic US purchases only: Periotech will replace authentic devices and attachments eligible for warranty service with merchandise of equal or better quality. Every new PerioRx device sold includes a two (2) year warranty from date of purchase covering any manufacturer-related defects resulting from everyday use of the product. Warranties are only valid for items purchased through authorized sellers, returned within the warranty dates, and accompanied by a physical product purchase receipt from the location purchased. This warranty is void if the product has been subject to an accident, misuse, abuse, improper maintenance or repair, unauthorized modification, or any other use not found in the printed instructions.

 For devices purchased outside of the US, International Returns and International Warranties: All product returns outside the United States are per your place of purchase: spa, retailer, or distributor. Please consult your receipt or place of purchase for their return and warranty policy.
